In the irreverent spirit of Dušan Makavejev and Kevin B. Lee, Polish-American essay filmmaker, Philip Józef Brubaker brings his charm and self-awareness to the essay genre with a satirical videographic romp that examines through subtext, the repression of his own sexuality and the onslaught of male fascism in his home country that threatens and demolishes the female orgasm. Seeking to invigorate sympathy for immigrants in America, as well as demolish the deadening of the soul, Brubaker strives to find common ground and draw a poetic allegory between Spain and the U.S., through forms of dance. Upon experiencing trust for the first time in Spain, Brubaker was dazzled by a flamenco performance and set out to discover what it meant for him.
