Axelle Vinassac is a French filmmaker and artist. Her work explores the staging of the self, foundational experiences and desire. She navigates from documentaries Les Démons de Ludivine (2018) for Arte and Les Passagers (2023) for France Télévisions to experimental film Ils m’ont appris à voir les anges screened widely in France and now to fiction. In 2025, she directed Soudain l’été (Suddenly Summer), an erotic and romantic comedy, world premiered at Festival Côté court (France) and internationally premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR 2026). She is currently developing films between fiction and documentary and is writing her first feature-length fiction.
