Critical text
In the Andalusian countryside, a little village hides one of the cinema’s sweetest monsters. The Granadan film director, Rocío Mesa, uses the magic of cinematic realism to present a fantastic tale in her hidden homeland. Her full-length film is a subtle story of love, family, pain, loss and personal development. The protagonists are a girl and a teenager who come from feuding families, and who are going to spend their most valuable summer ever. CARLOTA MOSEGUÍ
