On The Go

María Gisèle Royo Barrera, filmmaker and teacher. She studied Audiovisual Communication, an MFA in Media Arts Production at the City College of New York and film studies at the London College of Music & Media. She has produced and directed documentaries, short films, television programmes and documentary series. ‘On the Go’ is his first fiction feature film and was selected for the Locarno Film Festival 2023. Her documentary ‘Education without borders’ was presented at the European Parliament and at the First Global Refugee Forum organised by UNHCR. Since 2020, she has been teaching at the B.A. and MA Film at the Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology in Berlin.

Julia de Castro, multidisciplinary artist. Graduate in Art History, Graduate in Textual Interpretation and professional violinist. She has performed at jazz festivals in Manchester, Tangier, Athens, Santo Domingo and Barcelona, and in theatres such as the Teatro de La Zarzuela in Madrid. Her album ‘Virgen’ was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Independent Music Awards. As an actress, she has worked with leading directors and in 2015 she produced and starred in ‘Anatomía de una criminal’ with Javier Giner, awarded at international festivals. She has also co-created plays with Óscar Tusquets and writes for publications such as El Burro magazine, Matador and Harper's Bazaar.
