SYNOPSIS

A lyrical portrait of a woman’s engagement in Ghana and her impending migration in the late 1990s. The film depicts a woman's navigation through the world in relation to silence, set against her desires and dreams of Europe.

BIOGRAPHY

Jonelle Twum

Jonelle Twum is a film director based in Malmö, Sweden. Her 2021 short film, A mother’s body, was screened internationally and in Sweden, receiving nominations to several prizes. Twum is currently developing the final film in her trilogy on mother, work and dreams.
