Hector's father was ill and died. His girlfriend left him for an older guy, returned to her parents' house taking her eleven-year-old son to meet his new father. Hector was drunk. He happened to be wearing light cavalry armour lent to him by a paramedic he knew. There was a medieval feast and the town was on fire.
