Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1990, she holds Swiss citizenship. From 2008 to 2011, she studied at CISA (Conservatorio Internazionale di Scienze Audiovisive) in Lugano, and between 2011 and 2013, she attended the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV in Cuba. Her short film Bread Without Jam (2012) was selected as part of the Upcoming Talent section at the Solothurn Festival, and Idyllium (2013) received an award at the Winterthur International Film Festival. Her debut feature project Hanami was chosen from seventy submissions for the Solothurn Talent Lab in 2016 and won the Swiss Society of Authors (SSA) prize for Best First Project. Hanami (2024) premiered in the Concorso Cineasti del presente section at the Locarno Film Festival.
