Kamila Tarabura is a filmmaker and screenwriter. She completed her studies at the Warsaw Film School and further refined her craft at the Wajda School. Her first short film, Into the Night, earned the Best Live Action Short Film award at the 2020 Warsaw Film Festival and was also recognized at the Kyiv IFF Molodist, where it received the Ecumenical Jury Prize and a Special Jury Mention. Together with Nina Lewandowska, she co-created the six-episode Netflix series Absolute Beginners, which led to their nomination for the 2023 Polityka Passport awards. Kamila developed her directing skills under the mentorship of seasoned auteurs. She worked as Claire Denis’s assistant on High Life and served as second unit director on Agnieszka Holland’s acclaimed Green Border.
