Azar Saiyar (1979) is a Helsinki-based filmmaker and visual artist whose art has been shown at film and media art festivals such as DOK Leipzig, Uppsala SFF, IFF Message to Man, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, as well as in galleries, exhibitions, museums and television. He often uses archival materials and plays with images and words from our collective memory. In this way he addresses ways of looking, talking, remembering and telling stories. He also collaborates with other artists.
