SYNOPSIS
Apariciones WIP is a performative and experimental film work, an action walk through the dehesa to invoke the mythological beings that populate the imaginary of Juan Daniel F. Molero and his cinema. Unpublished reels, scene notes and other discarded images are the light that guides the way towards the legendary, towards the world of rites and symbols, connecting the magical geographies of Spain and Peru. To close, Molero offers an open discussion in which to delve deeper into these topics and the importance they have within his cinematographic practice.

JUAN DANIEL F. MOLERO (Lima, 1987) studied Filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine (Buenos Aires). His first feature film, Reminiscencias (2010), was presented at BAFICI, Rotterdam, Lima Independiente, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. His second film, Videofilia (y otros síndromes virales), won the Tiger Award for Best Film at the 2015 Rotterdam Festival and was screened in the Vanguardias section of FILMADRID 2015.
